February...

Man when I am fishing in April the Mallards stay on their nest when you get close to them. Also see a lot of Blue wing making their way back through.

Just leave it open till may we can just walk up and snatch the baby ducks as they crack the egg.

That's funny cause Arkansas has a youth weekend in Febuary every year.

Well it must just be Ducks and adults. And geese are to dang easy to hit. Had my limit in one string. Their like shooting bombers down.

Do you have those laws for Texas?, it would be interesting to look at them, for goose and duck. I wish it would last longer!!:)

We are at the mercy of the secretary of the department of the interior....they give permission to the usfw to open close and set the season...

No migratory season can open with out the SOI's permission.....this ability was granted via the migratory bird treat act of 1918...

Pretty simple if you ask me...

Start the season one week later and end one week later just like all the states around us.

Oh I really like that part about "The Ducking Police" !!!
We should get that established in Texas !

Special set of laws would need to be created:
Misdemeanors -
Lake naming on public forum
Using a jet ski in pursuit of waterfowl
Incorrect / over use of duck call
Mouthing off to Cappy
Felony -
Leaving decoys out overnight
Arriving at public lake after LST
Sky blasting
Getting you truck / trailer stuck on a public ramp
Not being ready when your buddy comes to pick you up.
