i love mine & wouldn't hesitate to get another. some people seem to think they're a little too pretty & worry about scratching them in the field. all i can say is, its the best shotgun i've owned by far although i haven't owned some of the other more expensive semi-autos.

I have used Browning shotguns my whole life, espeically the A5. I just bought a Browning Silver Hunter 12ga, black and synthetic stock last year. I use it for turkey and ducks and it is GREAT!! The A5 is the "humpback" desigh and the Silver Hunter has a "semi humpback". That design really helps me to shoot better. You can't go wrong with a Browning!!

I forgot to mention, my model is called the Silver Stalker, because it is synthetic stock with matte finish. It is still the same basic shotgun as the Silver Hunter though.

I think they are great shotguns. I've shot several of them, from a bone stock synthetic model to a nice woode version with aftermarket ad-ons from Briley. They all shoot well and I've never had one fail in any manner on me. IMHO, I tell all they should start with a Beretta Urika or Silver hunter. and when they ask which is better, my respons eis half a dozen one way and six the other even as a Urika owner and fan.

I won a silver hunter 20 ga. at a DU banquet last year and love that gun. I went to cabela's 2 weeks ago and bought the same thing in a 12ga. Got to shoot it for the first time this weekend and it is great! Buy 1 you'll love it!!
