Took about a 2 months for mine. You enter in on the web and get the info but the COA takes a while.

I have had a couple only take 2 weeks. I had one a few years ago that took 5 months. Like mentioned you can enter the band info on the web and you will get location and year banded instantly. If you have called in your band for a cert already you will still get the certificate in the mail.

Yes, it wont hurt a thing. I usually call them in the day I shoot them and get the certificate moving. Then a day or two later I will put the info in on the web. I have always gotten my certificate in the mail just fine.

First one I ever got You had to write Washington with the info. I got the certificate back right before the next duck season. The last band I got I reported online and got the certificate back within two weeks.

I called mine in the evening of the morning that it was shot. Didn't get anything for like 5 weeks. Called them up and was given a different phone # to call. Talked to the lady and she said whomever took the info entered it wrong. After talking to her I had the certificate in like 3 days.

I need to send my band in. It's in such bad shape you can only see half a 9. I want to know how old it is but the metal is thin and afraid it's gonna get broken!

I know some FBI folks. I bet they could figure it out for you.

To Dave:

Honestly I would throw it on the lanyard and forget about it. My buddy sent his first band in for them to etch because you couldn't read about half the numbers. When they sent it back to him it had been rolled flat. Now he has a flat piece of metal.

There are a few techniques that you can do yourself to try and raise the numbers before you send it in. If you send it in you might not ever see that band again and if you do it might come back like my buddies did.

I agree with that. I would not mail in the band.
