They do shoot, if you can get over the feel of the stock.

I've got one in 243, the most accurate out of the box rifle I've ever owned.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

well didn't really want it in 7 mag but for the price which was about almost half the retail price couldn't beat it. I have read up on them some and that stock keeps coming up in most of teh reviews. But looking forward to shooting it like any kid with a new toy .....lol

It is an awesome rifle, my father has it now. I got mine in a .308 about 10 years when they used to be $575 w/ camo stock. I would get another one but I needed more of a youth size rifle. You will not be disappointed, never had any issues what so ever with it. Feel and quality are great.

I highly doubt it.

To the orginal question, Buy it. You will be highly impressed if you have never shot one. My .308 PH is my go to rifle, I love the stock personaly its a little flimsy but it fits like a glove. Accuracy is amazing for a stock rifle, trigger is user adjustable but was perfect out of the box. The action and trigger are like glass.

Steyr build good stuff

After eating Payne's sausage I don't know if I can go back to the regular store bought stuff.

Well that is true, always have and have shot older models which shoot very well. The modern look of this will take some getting used to,considering my newest production gun to date is early 1960's .....lol guess it was just time to update to a more morden rifle. Thanks for all the imput.
