Has anyone compared the Destroyer and the XLR250? I have a Destroyer red light and a friend of mine has the Destroyer green light and we can see a lot further than they advertise with our particular scopes. I know they base the distances of the Destroyer on being able to see the whole body of the animal and effectively being able to shoot it at the distances listed but I don't know anything about the Kill Light. Can you really see an animal well enough to shoot it at 250 yards at night? I'd just like to hear some input on this.

I have a kill light and honestly I've never tested it's long range effectiveness. It works great at the usual 100-175 yard shots I take. It's not really my hunting style to shoot further. I'll try to rememberto play with long range targets next I have it out. I have no doubt in it's abilities. It's a great light and a good price when you consider all the stuff it comes with

You would have to have a very nice scope to be able to do what you are talking about.
In other forums I have heard people say they can identify eyes with the Kill Light out to 250 yards but not ID the animal.
Also moonlight will knock down your range.
ALOT of varibles, best way to know for sure is to buy a Kill Light XLR 250 and put it head to head against your Destroyer. Afterall the Kill Light has a satisfaction guarantee if your not impressed return it.
Let us know what you find out.

I took mine out with killer and I would feel comfortable shooting anything at 150 yards. I have green but will get red and white bulbs to change out. I have a kill light 250
Not sure if I'd call you a machine, but you are definitely a tool.

Yes, they are the same light. If not mistaken elusive wildlife tech makes both of these lights. My buddies destroyer and my xlr250 are exactly the same light. I can see an animal (whole body) in my scope with the green light between 150-200 yards.

Any idea of what the lumen rating is on these two lights?

the white xlr250 is supposed to be 900 lumens... not sure on the red and green...
i have a xlr250 and it works very very well. only used the green light so far on a couple hunts... plan to use red sometime soon
i went on a guided varmint hunt and my green light was brighter than the guides red handheld spotlight he was using...

If you ask me i got the heavy duty mount they sell mounted on a burris PEPR and it doesn't shine on the gun and puts the center of the beam just a hair above the middle of the recticle... works well!

You went with the wrong guide then I have the XLR250 red and it works great out to 120-150 after that it's Lightforce all the way. You can still make out eyes at around 180-200 but even with my Zeiss scopes I have trouble seeing the body of the animal or branches that are in the way.

Do you think the red light or green would be better for coyotes?

I just picked up a Fenix tk15.Have not killed anything with it yet but can see a knot on a tree at 150 yds with no problem. Cheap piece of crap scope right now too.
