Bought a Leopold Mark AR scope for my Flatop ar-15... and decided I want to put a one piece detachable mount. Anyone have any suggestions? Something that holds zero after removal and dependable?

I was asking about them the other day and Larue seemed to be what people liked.

I use ARMS 22H rings on both of mr AR's, they have QR levers and retain zero when put back on. I got them for around $100.

You can get the non quick detach and use bike levers to make them quick detach and save some money. Check out ar15.com and you can find some pretty good builds there.

I like ADM Recon mounts the best.

Larue LT-104, you will not be sorry. Just put one on my spikes and really like it. Buy once, cry once.

On the Larue... When you mount does it have a noticeable "click" to indicate it's on correctly or is it all pressure?

No clicks. You adjust the lock nut to get the desired amount of friction for the levers. They are rock solid as long as you adjust 'em tight.

I'll agree that the Larue is top notch. I've used the Burris PEPR mount and really liked it and they are coming out with the QD version of it. I haven't used it yet but it might be worth a shot. I think it can be had for about $89.

Larue is the only way I roll when it comes to mounts spend the money and do it right. On my XHR I take the scope off all the time and that joker still holds zero same goes for my ACOG.

I knew about your setup but to the OP, if its a flat top AR just the desire to shoot it with a carry handle?

I cant speak for him, but I want the quick detach in case my scope were to fail I can quickly remove it and shoot open sights. You should be able to accomplish the transition in well under a minute.

Larue is the best I have seen. After owning a couple all others just seem subpar.

Another Larue fan. Can't go wrong there.
