Looking for a hog hunt about 2 hours from DFW area. Will travel further if the price is right. I am not looking for a trophy just meat for the freezer. Let me know if you can help. There is two, both desert storm and desert shield vets and both of us that have hunted all of our life and respect the land and the animal.

Yes either with dogs, which i have killed one that way, 350 plus pound hog or what ever.

i am looking for a hunt for 2 also...(with out dogs)
but dont really want to spend three and four hundred dollars on guided hunts i have seen. but i would need alil help guttin them since i have never hunted hogs.
like bigcatter...im not looking the biggest hog...just meat.

I'd be willing to trade out hog hunting on my place in Crossplains for some Dozer/Tractor work.
We had an old house in camp that fell down and has turned into a big pile if junk.It needs to be pushed out of camp a bit into a hole to be burned.

thats sounds nice...but i don't have 600 bucks to blow right now. could anyone else help me out...im not looking for trophy pigs here. just a good hunt with my dad.

Going to be tough to beat WEnglish's offer. $150 per day with lodging is a very good price, especially if it has a generous limit on the hogs.

$ 48 Ty II permit gets you the best hog hunting in north Texas at Cooper Lake WMA. That place is covered up in hogs. I guarantee you that you can be in hogs every hunting trip. It's unbelievable.

Longtine, I grew up on that WMA and wouldn't go so far as to say everytime you go you'll get into some hogs. There's some there, just don't want to get folks hopes up.

Man micheal you just want all the pigs to yourself!!! J/K I dint think there was that many there either but i have not hunted there so i dont know maybe some day i will get to go!!! If you go on the dog hunt with kevinTX you are sure to have some fun,, I have been with him and txhoghunter and i hope one day to catch hogs like they do.

Bigcatter, We are 2 1/2 hours west of Fort Worth in Throckmorton County. Hog hunt with lodging is $165 per day. You can shoot as many hogs as you want. LONGTINE you need to get me a map! been there many a time and it does have hogs but i wouldnt go that far about the area.
