Just picked up a Z7 Extreme Tactical. Shoots very nice, no hand shock, quiet.

I haven't heard of any issues with this since the '06 models. Any specifics?

I just switched to Matthews.

I will probably never own another brand of bow unless this one goes down hill quick fast and in a hurry.

Smooth quiet forgiving, and i could go on.

You can google ______ limb problems and just fill in the blank with Bowtech, Mathews, Hoyt, etc and you will get a whole list of results talking about bows with limb problems. I am just curious out of all the bowhunters on this site how many have had issues with them. I am about to have my 3rd Bowtech and have never had an issue. I am just curious, but I can google it all day long. Please give me some real examples.

Stinkbelly, where you at? He can share his story with ya.

I frequent a lot of hunting forums as I'm sure we all do. And if I had a nickel for everytime I heard about Bowtech limbs cracking, breaking, exploding, or delaming, I'd have enuff money to buy Bowtech and have the problem fixed. I have a buddy who works at a proshop. Everyone in the shop calls them "Blowtechs". I really like Bowtechs lastest batch of bows, but I'm really skeptical, almost gunshy, if you will.

Any bow limb can crack. I get it. But what I'm saying is that I hear it happening to Bowtechs more often. Please don't take this post as a Bowtech bash. My point is to be somewhat educational,if not, informative.

I know what you mean. I hear people who know people who read on forums etc, but I have yet to hear from someone who actually experienced a problem. The bow shop I use deals Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech, PSE, Elite, etc and everyone I know in there shoots Bowtech. They have not had a significant number of issues with limbs and they sell a lot of them. From everything I can gather, Bowtech had some issues years ago when they were a younger company and people still talk about it. It seems like the last three years when the new bow reviews come out Bowtech has been on top. I have nothing but great experiences with the two Bowtechs that I have had, so I will continue to shoot them until I have problems. If that day ever comes then Mathews is my back-up plan.

I shoot a diamond and am happy with it but the Matthews switchback is a sweet bow. I know lots of buddies that love it!

Glad you decided on a bowtech, thats what I shoot and have no problems. You wont be disappointed.

As far as the 09 bowtech 82nd airborne having problems, thats what me and a buddy both shoot and neither of us have had any problems whatsoever. laugh

I haven't seen anyone mention anything from the bear line. I bought a bear assault this year and have absolutly loved shooting it. I had an older model pse so I don't have tones of experience to compare it to, but for me it was a blast shooting. Its very quiet, fast, the draw cycle took some getting used to, and smooth to shoot. Also price seems pretty resonable compared to most other manufactures. just my $.02

I had a Bear when I was first getting started in arhcery. It was ok, but never got the speed, accuracy, or smooth draw that I get out of my Bowtechs. If you go shoot some top of the line bows (Bowtech, Mathews, Hoyt) you will notice the difference IMO.

I know that Bear had the Best buy bow in either 07 or 08. I dont know much about this artical, but i read it a long time ago and up against all the big guys including mathews, Bear (at the time) had the best over all bow with all areas looked at including price. Im not saying that it is the fastest, lightest or quietest... but it is something to look at. I know they got some new things this year. And to be honest, every manufacturer is worth a look at this year. Im just glad im not in the market right now lol
