My buddy is trying to sight in his bow and is having a hard time. His pins are almost bottomed out and his bow is still shooting low. Does that mean the peep sight is too low? He also does not have a D-loop, he is just hooking his release directly to his string, could that be the problem? Thanks for any tips or advice.

Yes the peep is too low. Many bows have multiple mounting holes for sights. If the peep is in a very comfortable position try moving the sight mounting location and see if that fixes anything.

Shooting with a D-loop will change peep location so it sounds like a trip to a pro-shop may be in order to get everything squared away.

It does sound as if there could be a few problems. Draw length could be too long, peep too low, and maybe a less than desirable anchor spot.
