I know it will be hot but who plans on being out there some? I'd like to meet up with other folks who know the place better than I do. Whacking a pig or two won't hurt either.

i've never been to the place, but i've hunted a lotta hogs. plannin on bein there for a couple days in the mid part of may. sometime after the 14th. probly in the middle of the week if i can. will have 3 other good hunters with me.

I get spoiled with the cool weather hunting. ITs not the heat as much as the ticks. Then again im still pigless this year..... HMMM...swatting moquitoes and sweating or sitting in the boat with a cool drink....Will depend on what the striper do.

The weather and heat will be a factor with me as well. At ththe very least I will do some squirrel hunting but I don't know about dragging out a hog in 80 degree weather.

the heat is a concern for me as well. it looks like i'll just have two others with me now, but there'll be three of us for sure. so i'm not worried as much about draggin one out. i'm more worried about keepin one cold. but couple big ice chests should make it ok. i'm lookin at goin sometime the week of the 16th. like mon-wed, or wed-fri. should be a good tiem of year to hunt hogs. for whatever reason they are always thick this time of year at my deer lease too.
