Anyone here have experience with this? Would like more than the 100gr. and have no luck with 117 and up. Also looking to try to get 3000fps safely with it or at least close.

Thanks,
Jim

What I used most of the time in the 257 Roberts hen I had one was the 100gr Partitions, they always worked well. The 110 Accubond should be a very good bullet for it though

Great choice with the Accubond, dont have a .257roberts but I have used it in my .270win with 140gr and it performed flawless.

thinking about using it again in my 257wby it worked great in it

You can get to 3000 fps and beyond using a number of propellants if 1.) your rifle can handle +P+ pressure levels and 2.) your barrel is 21 inches (or more) long. With a 20" barrel, you can just about reach 3000 fps but that's about it.

River Rider,
Thanks for your reply. I hope you see this and are willing to reply again. Both .257s I have are 22" barrels.

They are absolutely fine with +P. My issue is this:

Of the published load data, what I have found is only up to around 2850fps.

That said, I usually load H4831sc or 4350 powder. I am tinkering with some R22.

I would truly appreciate some more pointers around your reference of getting up to and a little beyond 3000fps with this bullet.

Thanks a million!
Jim
