Alfalfa pellets or cubed alfalfa hay? It depends on where you hunt and your deer. Most places I have tried them they would not eat them. Out around Del Rio and north and west from there I have heard of success with both of them. that just about sums it up

I just called Rafter's Feed Store in Sonora and they currently have 1000 lb alfalfa round bales for $120. I appreciate ya'll's discussion, very informative and some great ideas....Thanks

You can buy alfalfa at the Eldorado feed store for about $12 per 70 lb bale. We hunt a little south of Eldorado and the deer absolutely tear it up.
