I haven't hunted up there yet, but I just leased a place up there on the Red River. What do you know about Hardeman County as far as good places to hunt? I've heard a lot of good things about Hardeman County, so that's why I lease the place. Just hope it turns out to be a good place.

the buddy i'm going with this weekend got a 13 pt with 2 kickers, scored 163 5/8, got it first week of december, seen another one about the same size, he's still there (i hope) their lease is 15 miles either way to childress are quanah and about 3 miles south of the red river, i think their getting off the lease this year. no fences, people can pull up on property and do as they want. it's in the middle of nowhere, like pretty much everything in the panhandle.

My place is in the Palo Duro Canyon and been there since 2000... Typically season is usually good the entire season for me. Amazing how the animals seem to change from place to place. Panhandle doesn't have the number that South Texas-West Texas does, but they get BIG up there. Killed my largest to date this past Thanksgivin. 179 5/8s green score official.

They definitley grow them big there. Been hunting the southern panhandle area in Hardeman and now Foard for 5-6 yrs. Some places the numbers are low but the bucks get big. Be patient, wait till it cools off around November then it turns on!
