Got a buddy who has a place in Stephenville. Went through there with him a couple of weeks ago and ate BBQ at the Hard Eight. It was spectacular. Anyone else been there? I'd be hard pressed to say I've eaten better Texas BBQ.

I have had better bbq in texas, but out of the 3 Hard Eight place, Stephenville IMHO is the best. Their 3" Pork Chop is a coronary waiting to happen especially if you get them to dip it in butter. mmmm starting to drool.

I like their pork chops, the jalapeno sausage, and their side dishes. The brisket, ribs, and chicken are bland and not that good in my book. Those little turkey poppers with the onion and jalapeno are pretty good too.

I had the shrimp poppers and they were excellent. I also enjoyed the sausage. I didn't do the jalapeno, just the regular, but it was very good.

You know what they say about nanner puddin? There's two kinds. "Good" and "Better."

Free beer? Guess I missed the memo. Great BBQ. Just passed the place actually. If I didn't smell and look like pond water (from chosen my own ducks) then I would have stopped in.

Nanner puddin..........yummmmmmm!

Skip hard eight(i dont think they have heard of seasoning)and go to the Loco Coyote off CR1004 at chalk mountain 254-897-2324 Awesome ribs, bbq beef and CFS plus outdoor pavillion you will not be dissapointed owned by the original Hammonds family out of Glen Rose!

I second the "Coyote" and you never know who is going to show
up on saturday night with a guitar. You can bring your own drinks
in too.
