Was a great hunt this morning. Austin and I hit up a pocket that cannot be accessed by boat (low water) that he found holding a lot of birds. Got there pretty early and made sure everything was perfect before we settled down in the layout blinds. About 30 mins before LST we definately noticed a change in temperature (front!). LST came around and we had a steady downfall of sleet and snow. This set the mood for a great hunt in which the birds cooperated perfectly! Ended up with a two man limit.

For any of you walk-iners, I definately recommend using one of these or similiar for carrying your things over a long distance (I have single wheel, not double). I had purchased one a couple seasons ago but haven't been able to put it to good use. Today we fit 24 decoys (in bag), two guns, two sets of waders, 12 full body decoys (in bag), and an Avery Finisher Blind all on this cart with 3 "crank" tie-downs holding it all in place. We pulled in roughly 200 yards through mud without a problem...saved us another trip. It was worth the price I bought it for just for today's hunt!

Layouts brushed up before LST.

4 Pintail Drakes, 2 Widgeon Drakes, 1 Widgeon Hen, 1 GW Drake, and 4 GW Hen.

Nice shoot. I wouldn't of wanted to be in a layout blind with all that sleet/snow we had. Haha.

I know you said you pulled it through mud, but did you have to get threw any treelines and brush? If so, how did it do?

I've looked at those and think, forget it, save my pennies and get a duck boat or yak. I just invision going through woods and having to lift it up over logs every five minutes, but it would be nice to know it works.

On the 2nd to last hunt, I think _Scooter_ hurt himself trying to not laugh is arse off at me when I kept tripping and falling over with all the gear on my back, shoulders, hips, head, etc.

We wheeled it mainly along the shoreline, roughly 15 yds away from water. We pulled it over two to three 4 inch or so diamater logs (branches?) and it did fine. The key obvisouly is to pull it and not push it. The wheels were caked with mud and ice on the way back and it didn't phase it.
