How about a 24 hour contest like most the other varmint hunts with a point system. We just need to figure out a meeting place before the hunt to read rules and collect money. My team is in sounds like it would be alot of fun to meet some of you folks.

David's Outdoors in Weatherford is a great location for me couple minutes from the house and they are normally fine with hosting competitions.
I can add a good AR-10 setup and 600 acres not far away if others have something similar to offer to a team setup.

if yall did a contest you should do a $ 30 a person entry fee and use 5 buckks of every entry for the thf scholarship or give it to a family in need. just a thought. i feel bad for not doing any charity stuff over the holidays...

Im in. Got a team ready and land to hunt. This needs a organizer and a place to meet. A 24 hr hunt would work best, so if there are members that live a few hrs away it would give them time to get back to there town to be able to hunt after the rules reading.

I would say 4 man teams so that maybe some inexperienced predator hunters could team up with some veterans and learn a thing or two.

I'm in, have gun, light and mouth calls (prefer them). I'll join a team or can form one. Just need the dirt beneath my feet.

We are not hunting competition this year do to the fact that we are filming all our hunts for our DVD. But I have hunted alot in the past and some other things you might add our mail in entry forms, a good group of rules, pay out at least 2 places maybe 3 this way more people take home some prize money, try to get something for the winners like a trophy or wooden plaque something to remeber after you spent all your winnings. I know allot of people hunt the world hunt just for a chance at winning the buckles, make sure you have a poly graph guy in case people try and cheat... When money is involved it's always possible. Just a few things I could think of off the top of my head. You may also want to put a # cap on the animals. That keeps things a little more fair. You may also contact a fur buyer and let him know when in wear he may show up and buy some of the predators. That helps pay for the entry and fuel as well. Also may be have a side pot for the most predators shot by the youngest hunter type thing keep the youth involved. And you may make the reds worth more then cats do to the fact every year their are more cats then reds brought in to these events. Just my 2 cents hope it helps Seth
