Well, I finally have something to post.
I've been absent from deer hunting for almost 10 yrs, but last year I bought a couple guns, & was given permission to hunt an area near my home.
yesterday 'round 5pm I set up in large acacia thicket. took about 30 mins & a tasty doe steps out @ 65y.
The 30.06 did the job. right in the bread basket, dropped in her tracks. Now, I know most of you are trophy hunters, but
this doe felt just as good as my first deer almost 20 yrs ago.
retreived my animal in time to enjoy one of the most fantastic
sunsets I have ever seen! It may sound corny, but I really felt the presence of God yesterday evening & I wanted to share
my experience here.
Man, it feels good to be hunting (successfully) again!
thanks for letting me share this with y'all
-Brian

Awesome and thanks for sharing with us. God is always with us. Sometimes we just seem to notice at certain times.

Agreed. I'm as guilty as the next guy, but those "certain times" sure feel awesome!

Great post. We are truly blessed, aren't we? I know I've received far better than I deserve.

First off Congrats, big time. Glad your back in the game. 2nd, I used to fish tournaments all the time. There is nothing like being on the water or sitting in the deer stand watching the sun come up or go down. I would think, man GOD made a pretty morning/evening.

Thanks, Jigfish

Congrats and glad you are back in it. I enjoy being out in nature as much or more than killing an animal. It helps me stay close to Him. Thanks for posting.
