Dear Fellow THF’ers,

Last night my niece left us. How tragic it was. Cassie Ashmore was 17, and an avid outdoorsman (woman) who loved to raise her horses, hunt with her daddy and mommy and fished as often as she could.
Two nights ago she had a headache and laid down, and never woke up. A brain aneurysm took her life, and what a wonderful short life she has had.
Sweet 16 and never been kissed, Cassie was not like most teenagers. She wasn’t consumed with herself and what people thought about her, but rather was concerned with others and her family. On any given weekend you would find her at the deer lease during hunting season with her father Ricky and mother Kim.
Both of her parents, Ricky and Kim have recently experienced cut-backs at work and both have been cut in their pay significantly.
I’m asking for both prayer and financial support for this family so they can bury their daughter.
Just as Cassie wanted, her organs were donated and we found out about 30 minutes ago that a 5 year little girls life was saved. This has been so hard for the family as you can imagine. All of this was so sudden to a perfectly healthy girl.
I have set up a donation center on my website and have put the first $100 in the account. No donation is too small. Anything will help. You can trust every penny will go to the family.

Her first deer this year:

This has brought tears to my eyes. I have a daughter who hunts and fishes with me. Prayer are sent out. Will talk with wife when I get home about donations.
