Whatever you are comfortable shooting.

I use different guns from year to year also.

Some years I use a good old fashioned Winchester model 94 30-30
Other years I'll use the Remington, while others I'll use a Ruger. Depends on what I feel like shooting.

The last thing I want to do is make hunting the same.

Two years ago, I decided to shoot deer without any optics (Open sights). Had a blast, and I got my deer tags filled.

Other years I decided to Bow Hunt only. Made for a fun time also.

Last year I used a crossbow during archery season, just because the state made it legal. Now that was a lot of fun also! Its wasn't like I thought it was going to be. You still had to do the same stuff like you were bow hunting with a compound bow.

Just keep making hunting interesting.

(One of these times I'm going to go muzzleloading hunting only all season.).

.300 Remington Ultra Mag, 4 1/2 - 14 Zeiss scope, 165 grain Sierra Game King handloads. I may hunt 10 years between bucks and when I finally get that one shot I want him to go down. I have been shooting large caliber rifles for years and recoil is not a problem. Growing up and before I got into the larger calibers the good old .270 Winchester took down a lot of deer and elk. Shot placement is everything and the one you shoot the best is the one for you.

I like the 270's. I have a win model 70 featherweight and a Rem 700 ADL. I grew up a yankee and shot quite a few decent sized black bear in PA with a 130 core-lokt.. LOVE the 270's

Browning A-Bolt .270 WSM and Ruger M77 .270. I plan on putting a Zeiss on the Browning next season.

My favorite is whichever one I have taken to the range last. I got a rem 700 sendero with 3x9 vxII a 300 wby vanguard(oh those are crud right?) with 4x12 40 vxII and a rem 700 adl 223 with 3x10 simmons. They all shoot great.

I use the 308 Savage 10FP with leupold 4-14-40 Mark 4 in 308 for long range shots. It's fine for anything in north texas.
