I shoot a Mathews Drenalin w a 29 inch draw length and a 72 lb draw. I have shot cheap arrows in the past and have gotten burned. I decided to up my game and purchased Carbon Express Maxima Hunters 350. I had a buddy recommend them. For what they cost, they better be good...lol. I just know that every setup is different and I just wanna make sure I have the best equipment. I also got new strings and had my bow tuned up. Im pretty pumped. Now I need to pick a broadhead...Im thinkin g5 strikers. Does this setup sound good? Im only three years into bow hunting and learning something new every day. Id love to hear yalls opinions.

They probably have the right spine for your set up. The weight of your field point and broadhead will make a difference too.

350 maxima's should work fine. Point wait is up to you. 125gr will weaken the spine a tad. Lots more broadhead selection in 100gr also.

you're just fine with 350 and 100gr broadheads.. my setup is 72lb 30in out of an elite judge shooting easton fmj 340s with 100gr heads.. they are almost identical spine cx- .337, easton-.340.. maxima hunters are a really good arrow I just prefer a heavier setup

bphillips...yeah I was debating on getting FMJ's. The bow shop guy uses them and I really liked the idea of huge penetration...But Im new to the game and should prolly use something that is more forgiving. Maybe Ill switch to FMJ's one day. Thank you guys for the advice.

I use Maxima 350 with 100gr heads (on one of my setups) and have always gotten 100% pass throughs. on both Moose and Caribou. If you decide you want to up the weight get some 3gr weight tubes and drop them in. Either way you have a great arrow.

That sounds about right. That's plenty of speed out of that bow. You know what your arrows weigh? The G5 Strikers make be the trick out of your bow. A lot of times, a big fixed blade bh is a pain to tune with faster bows due to them planing on ya. You should be fine.
BTW, I've killed many animals with Cabela's "cheapie" arrows and none of them noticed the difference.

ha...yeah I dont know if it was the cheap arrows, the rage broadhead, or the bow not being perfectly tuned, but I never want to only get 4 inches of penetration again. Id rather spend some money and get the best, then wound an animal. I hate not killing an animal I shoot at.
