C'Mere Deer was about the dumbest thing I ever spent money on. Every few years I try doe in heat stuff but haven't ever had it work for me. I know it has worked for others but not for me.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Believe it or not, I have thrown my red min pin dog out in the woods several time to only have him cruising back at lite speed with a deer hot on his hind end. If I thought some idiot city slicker wouldnt mistake him for a miniture deer I might would do it during deer season.

I have used a doe bleat can when spotting a buck 100 yards away and the dang thing stopped walking away, turning in his tracks and walked within 15 yards of my blind looking for the doe. It does work if used at the right time.
For the average hunter, I would say the scents are a waste. I have been within yards of deer many times and they don't care. Sometimes you get busted and grunted/blowed at but scents probably weren't going to fool those smart ones anyway.

[quote=Sirrah243]I used the Butt-Out, actually the Butt-Out 2 and it worked pretty good. Sorry I just couldnt bring myself to jam that thing up a deer's but and yank it out, that is friggin grose! It works real good if the deer is dead. Really hard to make them hold still if not.

C'mere deer is a waste of money. The liquid anyway, thats all ive ever used. Ive had deer walk right past the c'mere deer numerous times. However... Swamp Donkey by Primos seemed to lure quails in everytime I put it out. Im done buying all of that crap

I've used the rattle bags for years with good success, rattled in lots of deer with it. I've called in bucks and does that I haven't previously seen with the can bleat. Also had deer come in after using the acorn cruncher. Granted it doesn't work everytime and I hunt alot more than the average person. But lets face it feeders and food plots don't work everytime either.

I have a Buck Hustler that I bought about ten years ago and have used once, maybe twice. I think the folks at Mr. Heater only offered the contraption for a very short time, and it even came with a video that shows bucks coming to it.
It includes a small, butane burner and ceramic bowl shaped like a very small bunt cake dish that sits around the burner. You put a mixture of wild game urine (from whatever you're trying to attract) and water in the pot and let the burner heat it to a "steaming" temperature.
I even had someone here contact me with an interest in buying it but I couldn't remember what I paid for the dang thing.
For all I know, it may attract bucks better than a drunk chick in a bra-less tank top attracts East Texas rednecks on a Saturday night.

I agree with bayourat. I think these things have a place, some of 'em. I've been using some of these products for years, even though it has had limited success for me. The 1st time I used C'mere Deer, I had 2 young bucks on it within an hour and a half. Never had Deer hit it again. I poured it over my corn in my feeder. Did it work? Who knows, Deer were eating the corn before and after. I've been rattling for Deer for over 30 years and have only called in 1 Doe. I know it works. I've seen it work several times. I think all this stuff does some good. It builds confidence. If nothing else, it makes you hunt harder and longer, use your binos more, pay more attention. For that, all this junk is workin' great for me.

Do yall remember the "Huntin Buddy"? It was a life sized inflatable person in hunting clothes. The idea was, you set up your stand early before the season and set him in it. The deer are supposed to get used to seeing it in the tree. Opening day, you deflate the hunting buddy and sit in his place. I guess then you give the hunting buddy to your wife to keep her company while your out on the stand.

Its not the products so much as the timing. Most all of the "gimmics" that are made to reproduce deer sounds and smells will work at the right time. I've rattled in deer with bags, had bucks walk straight to Tinks 69 and had bucks turn and come at the "can" bleet, but if used wrong nothing will work and if used right but at the wrong time it wont work.

Is his brother the auto pilot from the movie airplane?

I do not know what it’s called, but it’s this retarded looking device that looks like a roach motel and the sticky is on the outside so it catches acorns before they hit the ground. The ad had a trophy buck sticking it’s little tongue out to eat an acorn from that device than to eat em off the ground... I laughed hysterically when I saw that...

those stupid rattle bags.
Bucks respond to fights, not kids playing with lincoln logs Hmm.....that's funny. I rattled in 33 bucks in one year with a rattle bag (9 in one morning). Guess those deer were "special" or something....
