I am blessed in that I have 100 + acres that I own with real good hunting for hogs, deer and varmits. I have been thinking that I would really like to offer a disabled youth a chance to shoot a hog out at my place this spring. I am looking to others who have done this, to find out how I can make this something special for someone less fortunate. I appreciate your responses! www.buckandbassranch.com

Its a great thing that you are doing, you should take some disabled vets hunting too sometime, give something back to them that they will have a real hard time doing on their own for the rest of their lives. I had 2 guys call me today asking if I would give them a discount because they were both disabled from the injuries they received in Iraq. They will be hunting for free, they can shoot their limit. Its Christmas, and this IS a Christian nation, we should ALL do the Christian thing. Its better to give than receive.
God is great, deer is good and wild hogs are crazy.

if you want to find a disabled youth, contact your local Lion's Club as we keep a list because of our Children Camp in Kerrville, where every year we send hundreds, if not thousands of youths with disabilities, and have the medical staff there for all their needs.
avid deer hunter that is disable but God has still blessed me.

HI. I AM NEW HERE. NAME IS CRYSTAL. I HAVE WORKED WITH ANOTHER WEBSITE FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS THAT PROVIDES YOUTH AND DISABLED HUNTS. WE PUT ON SEVERAL HUNTS A YEAR FOR THESE FOLKS. YOU WILL NEVER EVER KNOW THE REWARDS UNTIL YOU EXPERIENCE THEM!
KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE IS THE FIRST THING TO KNOW. HOW IS THE ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY. IS IT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY, OR DO YOU HAVE A WAY OF MOVING THEM IN. ALSO YOU NEED TO DECIDE IF YOU NEED MORE THAN ONE PERSON THERE TO ASSIST YOU WITH THE HUNTER. SOME REQUIRE A LOT OF HELP GETTING IN AND OUT.
THERE HAS TO BE AN OPEN LINE OF COMMUNICATION WITH YOU AND THE HUNTER AS WELL. YOU NEED TO HAVE A A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN AND WHAT YOU MIGHT NEED TO DO FOR THEM. WILL LODGING BE AN ISSUE? TRANSPORTATION? HEATH CONCERNS? MAKING SURE THAT YOU HAVE ADIQUATE EQUIPTMENT TO KEEP THEM WARM AND SO ON.
WORKING WITH ONE HUNTER IS THE EASIEST TO START FOR SURE. SOME OF THE HUNTERS WE WORK WITH EVEN LIKE TO BRING SOMEONE WITH THEM THAT IS FAMILIAR WITH THEIR SITUATION AND WE WELCOME THAT. THEY ARE MORE COMFORTABLE AND IT ALSO MAKES THEM A LOT MORE COMFORTABLE.
I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT FINDING A YOUTH OR ADULT WILL BE EASY! IF YOU NEED ANY HELP FINDING ONE, I HAVE SEVERAL CONTACTS THAT COULD HELP YOU LOCATE ONE.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MORE INFO PLEASE CONTACT ME.

Crystal,
Thanks for all the tips, I greatly appreciate them. I am working on a possible youth now, but may be in touch with you as I want to do this at least once a year.

Give Darren Turner or Dearil Jackson a call. They put on some great hunts and have been doing it for years. Great bunch of guys. http://coa-neto.com/

Hi, After you've tried the youth hunts and are wanting to donate an adult hunt, I am looking for a hunt, I hunted all my life, but only could afford leases that were overhunted while raising my family, a couple of yrs ago I had a stroke at work in my cube, 6 mos after getting out of Baylor, Raytheon laid me off. I sat around for 2 yrs then decided I had to hunt somemore some how. My left arm and leg don't do very much anymore, I have a leg brace and I have to walk using a cane. Using a tripod Triggerstick I've found I can still shoot. I just can't climb ladders or steep terrain. I've got a hunting chair and pop-up blind. I have been looking for a reasonable priced hunt since I can't work anymore, I have a grown son that would assist me. If you could or would accomodate this, please let me know. Thank you for your Time, Blessing's to you, <><
