so i got couple boxes of remington umc 223, 55gr mc, i am trying to figure out what kind of bullet it is, the MC, metal case, does that mean fmj or does that mean the case is metal??? the casing does not look nor feel like metal, but brass to me... i am trying to figure out if i can bring that to garland shooting range or not...

Garland range rules hollow point, plastic tipped or lead exposed at the tip of the bullet for rifle ammo. I do not believe your MC would be allowed. If this is what you have the answer would be no http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM52783-5.html

Did you wind up with a rifle yet ? Was following your AR posts and dint notice if you had got one yet or already had one ?

yup, end up going with spike's, picking it up from morgan (i believe thats his name) this afternoon i hope... Pretty certain what you have is FMJ. I will give you a couple boxes for HP for free when you pick your gun up so you can shoot it. Your rifle looks awesome!! Daniel defense Omega sets it off!

Metal covered lead core It is not a Steel Core M855 62gr Penetrator
