As the subject states, I am wondering where to look for lease land (other than here, of course). What resources do those that have looked for (and hopefully found) land to lease typically use? Most of the posts that I've looked through on here are people wanting leases, not necessarily offering them.

Also, I know it will vary wildly, but what is a "good" rate for a lease? How is it typically figured? Are leases typically a year long thing where you can access the lease throughout the year, or specific to hunting seasons? And one last question, typically when you see a lease price listed, is that per person or the whole amount and then you divide it up amongst however many hunters will be using the land?

As you might expect, I have never leased land to hunt on. I'm kind of testing the waters to see how much "convincing" I will have to do with my wife in case I decide to go this route rather than my "hunting" trips being overly equipped camping trips like they have been in the past. smile

Thanks in advance,
Beardking

Lease hunter.com is a good place to start.

anywhere from 7.00-20.00 per acre depending on what type of animals, accommodations, the quality of deer and where you are looking to hunt A "good price" depends on the above. The price usually states if it is per gun or not. Some leases are annual and some are just for the season. If the listing is not clear then you need to ask when contacting the land owner or broker.

I hope this helps but if not I am sure others will give their opinions

If you are looking for E/SE TX, southeasttexas.com classified sonce deer season is over...you will hit the motherload of leases for that area.
