It only took eight seasons of hard core public walk in hunting and a lot of lessons learned, but afer my 3/4+ mile hike starting at 5 a.m. this morning I got my first limit by 8:05. Nothing spectacular but it's a 6 bird limit. First a picture of why it's worth getting up this early...  and the results....  Hope everyone is having a great season.
...smelled like, victory.

I think public hunts are a lot more rewarding than private but they are all enjoyable, good job
