I want to be dead on at 200yrd if that is reasonable. I will be sighting it in at 50yrds. At 50yrds do I need to be 1" high or 2" high. I want to say 55gr or 65 grain, I can't remember. Can anyone help me?

This will calculate the path for you.
To get a true ballistic path you will need to supply more information. If you need help post up or PM me or some of the guys in reloading section.

I've got some experience with Handi Rifles and have several in different calibers, so that said here are some tips.

If you shoot the rifle for the first time right out of the box there are a few things that you need to check and do.

1.First clean the barrel making sure to remove any factory crud.

2.Handi rifles don't like a lot of oil and grease especially on the latch shelf which is located on the lug of the barrel below the breech. I usually take a cotton swab and alcohol and clean it to make sure it's dry prior to shooting as oil on the latch shelf will effect accuracy and if too much it could pop open which isn't dangerous, just annoying. Remember don't overdo the oil!

3.Also let the barrel cool between shots if your shots begin to string vertically.

4.Make sure the screw that holds the forearm stock on isn't tightened down too hard as it should just be snug, as that can effect accuracy.

5.Try to rest the gun on the bags just behind the pivot pin, and just ahead of the trigger gaurd, and always rest the rifle in the same spot on every shot, pulling the trigger all the way through the shot so that the hammer clears the transfer bar.

6.The trigger will more than likely feel terrible, but once you work the trigger repeatedly (don't dry fire) by cushioning the hammer and working the trigger it will get smoother with use.
You can do it yourself and there is instructions on Graybeards Outdoors website on how to do a trigger job for do-it-yourselfers.

7.They are great guns for the price but they do need some breakin rounds through them to find their maximum potential.

Most Handi rifles shoot better with a dirty (fouled barrel) and a lot of people don't clean them until the end of the season and some don't clean it until the accuracy starts to deteriorate.

Have fun!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Some good information Jimbo, thanks for sharing.

Federal has a 50 yard sighting for their ammo online, find your load and click on get details.
http://www.federalpremium.com/products/rifle.aspx

The link that Jeh7mmmag posted will get you close no mater the manufacture, including reloads as long as you know the velocity, and Ballistic Coeficient of your bullet. And like he said if you have questions ask. PM or in the forum.
