They do. Just pick somthing with a good expanding hollowpoint. Generally most SD 9mm loads are +p or +p+.

9mm Gold Dot +P+ are almost equal to 357Sig 125gr Gold Dots ballistically

.40s don't come +p or +p+. But SD loads are generally warmer than stnd target loads. Always look for somthing with a good expanding bonded hollowpoint like speer gold dots, winchester rangers, hornady critical defensea. Remington golden sabre . There tons of reviews on youtube just type in what round you'd like to know about.

As you can see, 9mm (.357)is more than adequate

I just got the H&K USP in .40, and I really like it. The Springfield XD was what I was going to get before the H&K came along..it seems like an excellent pistol.

Both good pistols, I prefer the Springfields as they fit my hand better. I'm looking for another .45 ACP, it may be an XD unless I can find a USP at a halfway decent price.

I am a right hand shooter, but I like my mag release on tyhe right side, I do not use my thumb to press but my index finger, back when I got the xd, glock didn't offer it that way (btw onlything I hate about the xd is its round mag release) but now the glock gen 4 came out I can change it to the other side, but they still haven't release any both sided mag yet, only whatever comes with the pistol, I got the 32rd mag for range use which I want to get rid/sell now... anyone interested in those??

Gen4 mags are ambi.

I don't have a problem with xd's I just prefer glocks. I would love to get my hands on a hk p30 in .40 though.

Yup, ever since I got the USP .40 I've kinda gotten enamored with those pistols. Who knew..I guess you gotta test drive something to get to like it. I never before even considered H&K pistols, dismissing them as being too highly priced. I'd like to find another 1911 or some other .45 ACP as the only one I have now is a Para P 12 Limited, but it's a shorter model. Would like to find one with a full length barrel.

when one says full length barrel, does it mean 5 inch?
