I am soooooooo thankful I hunt private. I have never hunted public, but from all of the stories I read on hear, it seems public takes alot of the fun out of the hunt.

It happens all the time out there usually right before most people leave out. Wasn't me. I hunted down there last Sat.
Lots of Snows out there right now....and I left my goose calls at the casa.
You know the tides are low when the barges run aground in the Intercoastal and you can see half of a crab pot out of the water on the flats. I got stuck in the muck early before daylight. (Q-beam ran out of juice didn't help.)
Had to pull a buddy out of the flats. He got stuck twice coming out near Oyster Bayou. All I could do was wait about 20 minutes till he got to a foot of water then I pulled/towed him out after he said his engine possibly overheated.

No Choke - hate to burst your bubble but her name is Hazel.
She actually belongs to my buddy Mark. He prefers the natural look but the ducks don't so make-up is a must-wear for Ms Hazel Marie on a hunt.

She couldn't care less, tho'... all she cares about is that Benelli SuperNova, her 4x4 pickup, our duck boat and are the ducks flyin'???? lol Yeah, she does me proud!

our lease isnt far from pace trac and we hear them tearin it up out there all the time. would head out there but its alot nicer not having to worry about that sky blasting bs. i have heard alot of good things about the geese out there though

Would the Pace Tract be anywhere near Clarksville? My BIL deer hunts there and talks of the %$#%%^^^&&^^ duck hunters shooting all day.He asked me what the limit was and said they had to have 20 people duck hunting! Or miss an awful lot
