Has anyone been hunting the Uvalde area this last week? Looking to go next week and wondering how it has been?

Talked to my friend there this morning and it has started to cool off some, and rut is beginning to take off. I will be down there on Saturday the 8th, to hunt the Chaparral WMA deer hunt 10th-14th and then up to the ranch for a few more days. I'm looking forward to a break from this cold and snow!

depends on where your hunting, but south of 90 your in the middle to tail end of the rut right now. next week it will be trickling off, but the moon won't be as full, so It should't be as bad

Have heard it is getting better. Was VERY slow last week! Will be down over new years.
