I have been rifle hunting since i was a kid and as the days go by I am more intrigued by bow hunting. What is the best bow i can buy to start out. Not really worried about price either...

You absolutely do not need to buy the most expensive thing on the market! Bows are just like anything else, everybody has different things they like about different bows, so here is my two cents. I think a quiet bow is important, a fast bow is not as important as being able to hit your mark it only means you miss quicker! You do not need a heavy draw bow anything over 50 lbs will kill a deer, the lower poundage bows are easier to learn proper shooting skills on. Find a bow shop that will let you shoot a few bows, try some and get one that feels right to you, if you like shooting it you will practice more. Most of the bows on the market are good, look for a brand that has been around for a long time(that tells me they are established and doing something right). I personally own a PSE, and started with a Reflex made by Hoyt, and also have a recurve and long bow. Hope this might help?

Buy a used one from ME and shoot the heck out of it. Then when you get better pick up a nicer one so you can respect the quality. It is a very fun sport!

+ 1 on buying a newer used bow. I found an 08.5 elite z28 ready to hunt for under 500.00. From my research, it should be all I need!!

Don't buy bowtech. Hey, someone had to disagree. I love my mathews. Shoot all brands and see what fits you best. There is alot of good bows on the market now.

If you are new, go to a real bow shop and have them set you up. They will do it right. If you don't know what you are doing, don't buy it off of ebay or a used one and try to make it work.

If you do go to a Bass Pro Shop, Cabelas, etc... Have someone who knows archery go with you. In reality DO NOT BUY A BOW YOU HAVEN'T DRAWN AND SHOT!!!

When people say that it feels comfortable to you, you have no idea what that means unless you can launch a bunch of different bows to feel the pull, hold and release.

The Diamond Rock has been a great starter bow for me. This is my second year using it and I hope to sell it and make an upgrade now that im hooked for life.

Bowtech or Diamond (yeah I know same company) are the ones I have seen beginner archers have the best of luck with. The Bowtech Soldiers is a Great bow. very wide draw weight range. very forgiving to shoot, and easy on the pocket book. comes with sight, capture rest, stabilizer, and peep. all you have to do is buy arrows and a release.
