Has any out there worked any loads for a 270 wsm. Winchester silver tip 130 factory makes to large an exit hole. Trying the barnes, hornady, nosler all in 110 grain. I know Sierra makes a 90 grain bthp match king bullet. Would this be a good choice?

Assume deer is your target?? If so and you are going with a 110gr bullet, be sure it is a solid copper bullet (Barnes TSX, Hornady GMX, or Nosler E Tip). the Sierra 90gr target bullet should NOT be used on deer.

I have had very good performance on deer from 130gr and 140gr Nosler Accubonds

I will second the 140gr accubond for both the 270win and the 270wsm;The 140gr in my .270win is a great round and has killed many deer with no complaints at all. I have also see the 140gr accubond hold up and perform excellent in the .270wsm and it has always been a very accurate bullet. I load my own with RL22 powder and will continue to do so.

Have you looked at alliant RL 17 yet. supposed to be ideal for the short mag case.

I shoot the Barnes 110gr bullet and have had no complaints thus far. Took at deer last week at 354yds with no problem. Ran about 20 yards.

Haven't had a problem yet with match king bullets yet on deer. Super fast and all your energy stays in the deer. True you don't leave a blood trail but I don't take off the wall shots either.

Stormvet: Sierra, the manufacturer of the MatchKing bullets strongly recommends that they NOT be used for hunting. They are designed for max accuracy and no consideration is given in the design for terminal performance. They may disintegrate on a shoulder or pencil thru the lungs....you just never know. Too many good hunting bullets out there to use a bullet outside its design criteria. JMO
