The hogs finally lost this weekend at Cooper. Me and a few of my buddies went camping and hunting Saturday, Sunday, and Monday out at Cooper lake and finally dragged in 2 hogs. Saturday we hunted all dang day a full 11 hours. Didnt see or hear a single hog all day. Sunday i saw a herd of btw 15-20 running right at me but that caught wind of me and turned before i could shoot and we couldnt get on them again but a farmer on the private land sure did heard 6 shots from over there. Monday was a perfect hog hunting experience. We didnt get started till 9 but within 15 minutes we were on hogs. My buddy came up on a group of 7-8 big hogs beded down and got one shot off. They came running my way so i took off after them and was able to get one shot off across a small channel at one that stoped for some reason but both of us missed them.My other buddy got on them again for awhile but never got a shot off. Then about 5 mins later we got a shot off at about 30-40 hogs but still missed. Then about 30-45 mins later we got on a group of 6 80-100lbs and we finally got 2 off them down. It could have been a massacre but i sucked yesterday at shooting. Had 4 run right across a road 20 yds from me and missed on 4 shots. But the hogs came back across the road 60 yds down and my buddy gotem good. All in all it was an awesome day. With in 3 hours we had 2 down and say at least 50 hogs. It was only my 4th time hunting hogs and i was the most expericend hog hunter hunting. But eventhough i didnt kill any i was finally able to see them and get some shots off. I will post some pics on here tomorow hopefully when i get them back. Hogs 2 Humans 1 at Cooper

great job and adventure

Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.

Way to go!.... next time you need to kill one yourself instead of showing your buddies how to do it. The first time I jumped one I just froze never even shot. I'm glad you got to shoot. Next time you can try to actually aim :-)

Did you guys get them cleaned OK?

great job! Glad to hear you got a couple. I was on the wan to the lake Monday thinking I should have gone hog hunting. The fishing turned out OK despite the wind but still need a hog int he freezer. If I don't get one this time ill have to go in May when the ticks and mosquitoes are out. Im looking at one of the next two weekends. Anyone Game??

Thanks guys. Yeah Pat I think i need to spend a few hours out in the field practicing my aim. 4 hogs 20 yds no hits i need help . I am having trouble getting my cd with the pics on, i need to invest in a digital camerea because the camera i bought didnt do justice to the size of the hogs we shot, but hopefully this weekend i will have them up.
