will mostley use it for plinking and maybe hogs, wich is a better gun? never owned either but getting christmas bonus and will buy one next week. Thinking more toward ak74 and ammo is cheaper. Anybody wanting to part with one let me know as long as you can wait till next week.

Plinking and hogs-either.
I have killed a few hogs with 5.45x39.
Surplus ammo in 5.45 is inexpensive. It is also a PITA because of the corrosive primers. Most ranges that I've been to don't allow FMJ out of rifles. The AK platform is fun to shoot though and affordable with the 5.45.

both are nice ive had a few 47s but have always been drawn to the 74 you got me thinking about the 74 again
