i recently hunted in kansas for the first time and it was eye opening. i was afraid to breathe too deaply in fear of getting lead poisoning from all of it in the air. it seemed you never heard one shot it was always atleast three. i heard shots one day and here come seven doe running for there life ten minutes later a straggler that had been shot in the hip( too far for a shot to finish her off). the best buck that was killed was shot at by road hunters on the neighbors property they missed spooked the deer on our property our guy laid him down the road hunters got out of the truck to exchange high fives."im glad you got him we just missed him from the road" WTH i will go back because there are some good deer there just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this happen to them

The SE corner is staged in 1 sq mile gridwork of roads around fields with center creek bottoms , Same thing Make loop stopping to unload at 4-500 yard moving deer on edges of brush. Damdest deal an owners think nothing about it everybody knows everyone, Takes few years to get used to it,Same on coyotes drop dogs at road an chase is on.

I goose hunt in central Kansas nearly every weekend. If you are anywhere close to us, you would usually hear a LOT MORE than just 3 shot's.

We hunted in southern IL. Nobody believes in no trespassing. I was sitting next to a corn field opening day of shotgun season and watched a 3 yr 6pt walk in front of me in. As soon as he stepped into the crp BAMM!! The crp was supposed to be no hunting. The hunter came out and said "man can't believe you didn't shoot him." When I asked how he got permission to hunt he hauled @$$. Nothing like hunting in Tx. I think they hunt wherever they want! Also, they do not like hunters from TX.
