A buddy of mine has land outside of big springs and was wondering if there were a lot of quail (bob white) this year?

I've had two reports from the Spade at Colorado City. Both were bad. One covey per day.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Not a lot but there are some.
You may know more about it in Feb.
There is part of the Spade that will have birds. I hunted it last year. The conditions are making it hard to hunt.
Report from Sterling City has a lot of birds.

We have a lease between Big Springs and Gail, The Munger Ranch, we were there last weekend. We MOVED around 10 covies in four days. Dogs did not point one single covey, its REALLY DRY and REALLY THICK. I hoping they get a good snow or rain in the next few weeks.
