I know it is early, but I am trying to plan out all my hunts for the year so I dont miss any and I am looking for a GOOD goose guide service. I will travel anywhere in Texas for the hunt. If you have some you really don't like PM me and it will be between the two of us.

Gr_Elliot, me, and a few other guys did a couple of goose hunts with Bay Prairie outfitters last January. It's a first class place and I highly recommend them. I'll probably book another hunt with them this year as well. http://www.texas-goose-hunting.com/I met a guide named Scott Curtsinger at the DU State convention a few weeks ago who owns Longneck Outfitters out of Lubbock. I went to Tech so doing a hunt up there is appealing to me. So in December we are going to do two days with him...a morning goose hunt, then an afternoon sandhill crane hunt...then we'll do another morning goose hunt. I'll be sure to give a full report but I have a lot of confidence in him that these will be great hunts. http://www.longneckoutfitters.com/
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

We were there the same time 94-99 myself. The five year plan for me . Longneck is a pretty small outfit...they only have a handful of guides from what I know. I'm not sure how long they have been in business. I heard about them because our DU Regional Director's son was a part owner in the company...he told us about them. Also there was an article about them last year in the Texas Outdoors mag that had a lot of really good stuff to say. Talking to the owner, Scott, I'm pretty sure he'll put us on the birds. If not then I won't go back and I'll let you guys know. I feel pretty good about it though.

I knew Longneck when Brandon White started the outfit... I was on the Texas Tech DU committee with him... I graduated from Tech in 1997 (summer) Was a Pike... I stayed around a while...(huntin' was too good) 5 1/2 year plan fo me!!!! I would recommend: longneck outfitters- ask for Scott (owner) Bay Prairie Outfitters (ask for Glenn to be your guide) Stanfield Outfitters (ask for Brian Hall to be your guide) I highly recommend these guys... I didnt know you went to tech Whiskey. Yeah I never met Brandon but he is John White's son. I went to one DU event while at Tech and still have the hat...I wish I would have been more involved back then and joined the committee but I didnt really know much then.
I was in Lubbock last weekend for the first time in several years. I drove through greek circle...what happened to the Pike house?? It's as if it was never even there? Did they rebuild or get kicked off??

So you know Will M, Shane, Chris K., Todd J. then. My kid is in Will's kid class and I worked with a couple of them out there at the TTUHSC.

Another vote for Bay Prairie
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.
