I hunted with Triple D guide service's Dennis White (fetch_up on this site) last weekend in Bandera Texas at MC Ranch. I was fortunate enough to kill a great 8 point management buck. He was 6.5 years old and green scored 133 1/8  I had seen trail cam pics of this buck at the beginning of November and called "dibs". I didn't know it would work. But this guy eluded the two groups of hunters before me and started showing up again two days before I arrived. At first light there was a real nice 8 point at the feeder. I was really tempted to take him. But Dennis said the deer are moving good and it's just the first day, let's wait and see what else shows up. Well am I glad we waited. There were about 4 does and 3 bucks at the feeder when all of a sudden their heads looked to the left. The big boy came out and everything scattered. He never presented a shot and chased the does back into the brush. Well now at least we knew he was in the area. About 15 minutes later he appeared again out of nowwhere and presented a 50 yard broadside shot. That short of a shot was nice as I had major buck fever. The shot was good and he only ran 20 yards. I want to thank Dennis of Triple D guide service and Scott and Derek at MC Ranch for making this hunter's dreams come true.

Thats awesome. Congrats. Im still waiting on my first deer. Hopefully I will get it this season but I may have to wait till next season.

How much did he cost? Managment Hunts on that ranch run $1800, includes meals, lodging, management buck and usually a doe. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.
