I went across the pond in 2004 so our rules of engagement(ROE) were alot less strict then they are now so needless to say we did alot of damage. The first pic is right after my vehicle was hit with a IED that was made out of two 155mm artillary shells. The second pic is of me and my M14. Loved that rifle...deadly accurate. The third pic is of me and my best friend that was killed Sept. 13 2004 by and IED he stepped on. RIP SSG. Guy Hagy The last pic is of my son that is named after him "Gage Hagy McAlister"

Thanks amcalister we engineers might not love doing route clearance but we are good at it. Ive led infantry and scouts into many a village in Iraq and all of them reached their objective safely. Last deployment we found and cleared well over 100 IEDs without a KIA. Thanks for your service.

This is an AWESOME post. I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps so I know exactly what all of you parrents are going through.. Just keep in mind that ALL of your sons and daughters KNOW exactly what to do when the time comes.. The US military is an elite force and are the best trained organization on the face of the earth!! May God bless them all and keep them safe while they're in the sand snappin necks!!! OOOH RAH!! Right on smackindoes!!! I could not say it any better. Had two tours in the sand box...Desert Shield/Storm and Iraqi Freedom. To the proud parents may God Bless your sons and daughters and bring them home safely to their families!!! Their service and sacrifice for our country is appreciated.

On top of a mountain at a combat outpost it got very cold at night with no heaters in the tents

BMT photo  Training to deploy. Even those that fix aircraft have to know how to use small arms. Overseas right now till March. We have a reunion set for April 1 at The Ball Park

This is my oldest boy, PVT. Danson, Devon J. We're extremely proud of him and accomplishments. He's serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, Artillery.
