My daughter wants to start hunting and she is 7. Had her in the stand with me a few times and she loves it. She said she wants to shoot a bigger gun then the BB gun. So I thought I would start with a 22 and go up to a 223. Darn 223 are a pretty penny. I paid like $125 for my single shot New England 10yrs ago. Do you know who would have the better price, BPS or Achedemy?
Thanks, Jigfish

Depending on her size you can get her a Cricket 22 (they come in pink for about $120 or less (Academy/ Walmart). Great starter. Or Rossi has a combo with a .22, .243 and a 20 ga. barrels

My 9 yo son started with a Cricket when he was 6 then I moved hin up to a Ruger 10-22, He now has his own 243 that has taken 2 deer and hogs. She will be fine starting with one.

yep!!! I bought my oldest son (now 13) a CZ youth rifle when he was 7 nice because it comes with a dummy mag that makes it a single shot later on you can got to a 10rd
my #2 son is 6 and is shooting it this year
it has a 2-7 Weaver rimfire scope on it, when I first got it for my oldest son I made him shoot irons for the first year
I don't feel like messing with the scope now so the 6 year old shoots as is
he's hitting little 2" steel swinging targets at 50 yards!
I run subsonic ammo in it and it's a tack driver and is as quiet as a pellet rifle
