Just bought it from classic arms. hits the target well but the bullets jam alot. I think the clips are the problem. kinda loose any feed back on best clips?

you mean magazines? AK mags are cheap and most work fine. I bought some surplus mags from AIM surplus online, and they all work great. my tapco mags work fine too. circle 10 are supposed to be the best...

What do you mean by "jam"? Are the rounds not feeding, not ejecting properly, etc.? I don't have any personal experience with AK-47's, but in my experience, most feeding and/or ejection problems with semi-auto firearms are magazine related.

AK mags are plenty cheap, buy a few and see which ones work best. I've had good luck with the Eastern com-block battlefield pickups. $10 each, just take em apart and clean em good...
Mag wobble is inherent in the AK design. If it locked up tight I'd be worried... It's not a Sig or an HK...

More info on the jamming - is it double feeding or failing to feed/fail to eject?
From my experience - any issue with an AK is generally the magazine being mucked up/broken. However, that doesn't exclude problems within the rifle though they arent as common.

It jams on the feed and bends the shell. I tried a east german mag and it was better but still loose. I am going to try some other magazines and see if that works. The tapco that came with it jams too. ( the bullet that is). I just hope its not in the reciever. It shows to have been made in Romania.

More info on the jamming: the shell actually jams going in at a high angle the bullet sticking "just" in the chamber. about every 5th or 6th round.

If I had a twenty dollar bill for every time I popped a bad guy with a malfunctioning AK, I'd be a millionaire. I'll just take my life as payment and be happy with it.

They are nice but will break if dropped just right on a hard surface. I have a few of them, but I have more of the battlefield pickups. Besides, if you run out of ammo, you can use the steel mags as a hammer...

you should really just try to use the AK as intended
make sure that it's unloaded
grab the barrel and swing it like a baseball bat
that's the best way to use one

Does it catch the nose of the round most of the time? I had some headspacing issues on mine and it was doing the classic stovepipe after it got warmed up. Romaian WASR-10 with canted sights, slapped together by those goons at century with 10 thumbs.
I had a milled lancaster that worked well, though some guys have had mixed results. Ended up putting it toward trade on a legend that is a safe queen. My polish underfolder is light years ahead of that wasr-10 junk. Stay away from century builds on anything you are wanting to shoot.

Well I am beginning to think it's something other than the Magazines. My buddies east german mags fit better but still loose. Where would I get specs to measure the lengths between the release/magazine and the stops inside the housing that the mag would rest against if it was tighter? I have about a 1/16" between the release and the shoulder of the mag. Thanks for the input so far. I was hoping for a gun like my "rockola" solid and well made but I guess I should have stuck with old american made.
