i shot a doe at the end of october and there was little blood the deer only ran about 50 yards. but it would have been hard to find if i didnt hear her crash. my brother shot a dow thanksgiving day and there was tons of blood everywhere and the deer ran almost 300 yards. i would think the more blood the less the deer runs. i dont get it

A high entry and exit shot may leave little to no blood trail. This causes them to bleed inside the body cavity and not outside the wounds. Have had this happen to me twice. A lower shot is more likely to leave a blood trial due to the blood draining from the wound.

You can't fix stupid but you can numb it with a 2x4

Agreed. I hate it when hunters hit high from the ground blinds.

ya ground blinds suck for blood trails unless u hit them real low. The angle from a tree stand is much better for a low exit wound

If you hit lower third you'll get a good blood trail.
