I planted clover in a long 5 foot strip, been irrigated since I planted it and looks fairly good. Have not seen the deer on it I thought but there are plenty of deer in the area. They seem to like the wheat better. What do ya'll think?

Only tried clover in mixtures with out much results. I don't irrigate though. Had best luck with oats, alfalfa, chicory & peas.

I have clover in Mississippi in my plots, some well enough established it has nto been plowed in several years. What I have noticed is at times there is not much feeding activity on it then at other times the deer mow it down to nothing left but stems. Not a consistance food source IMO. Depends on the native browse available to them.

I have seen several deer on the clover at once a couple of times. Seems like I have seen the most after it has rained or I watered. I also notice that when it has been irigated it gives off a sweet smell. I kept thinking once everything froze and dried up they would be all over it but it is not the case.
