I bought some really compact ones made by Remington at Academy earlier this year. They are so small they fit in the front pocket of my backpack.

I think I paid about $35 for them and I am very impressed with not only the noise reduction but also how it amplifys all the quieter sounds. I wore them in the stand a few times earlier this year and could hear feeders going off all around me that I never could hear before.

I use Peltor Tactical 7 ear muffs. They are a little expensive but well worth it. There is no static or interference of any kind. You can get the best price on line by searching on the internet.

I use the Howard Leight Impact Sport and love them. They are affordable and have worked great for almost 2 years. I had 3 pairs of the Peltor Tacticals within a year and all three shorted out on a least one side.
