It is mine. But I did not want anything perminant. The pump is low pressure and I take the water from a creek about 200 yards from the plots. They said at Tractor Supply I would burn the pump up pushing water that far but I change and check the oil on a regular basis and have never had a problem.I'll bet you could find some surplus used firehose somewhere and it would work. I thought about the firehose thing. I volunteer in Granger and we have a couple thousand feet of old 2.5inch just sitting on a rack. Just didn't realy know if I could find adapters to fit my pump.

If you try to use the 2.5" hose you will only be able to let it flow, no sprinklers. From my experience it would take a helluva pump to get enough pressure to use sprinklers.
Check around for some black poly pipe, not sure if that is the name, it comes in rolls, and you can get fittings for it. I used 3/4" for an area about 30 square yards and pumped water about 100 feet. No idea on the pump, mine was almost as old as I am, a gasoline rig. Had to cuss it twice to start, cuss it 3 times and you would have to wait a day.
Huntwest I sent you a PM.

I think you could, Tractor supply has fittings that go from 2" to 2 1/2". I know a guy here that works on septic tanks that uses old firehoses on a pump like mine. I didn't think about asking a VFD if they had any old hose they could sell, I am going to ask ours tomorrow.

My system is just a flow system, low pressure but it bworks great. It doesn't take much water for food plots you just want to keep the stuff growing you are not going to harvest it. I also buy every bag of busted fertilizer I can find a deal on. Our local farm and ranch store sells me a PU load of mixed fertilizer for about 25.00. Just to haul it off. I broadcast it in my plots. Just make sure you don't use any type of weed and feed.

I even thought about holding a nozzel/drafting from a stock tank drill one night. I think they would catch on though. I would be able to flow about a 1500 gallons per minute on that bad boy then.

Does anyone think that a 160 gpm trash pump would be enough to supply 160 yards of garden hose with about 5 sprinkler heads. Won't work; trash pumps are high-volume & low pressure ; won't drive sprinkler-heads; You need a sprinkler pump (designed for high-pressure & volume, like this: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_4864_4864 ;they have bigger one too - 2.0hp sprinkler pumps always detail the supported sprinkler head capacity / ratings. Tips - if you're running electricity for long distances, use 220V; use a good 220v GFCI dp breaker/protector. Use at least 1.5" pipe/hose for main run over 100' . trash pump will only work if you use watering ditches / furrows in plot (not sprinklers)

Not with sprinkler heads it won't. But it will run a flow line drip type.

I used the trash pump to drive sprinkler heads today and it worked perfectly. I ran 100 yards of 1.5" fire hose, reduced it down to 3/4" with PVC fittings, connected about 50 yards of greeline, and attatched the sprinklers to that. Wasn't pretty but got the job done.
I did have plenty of pressure though (shot about a 20 yard stream out of an oscillating sprinkler head). Next time Ill put a gage on it to see actual PSI. I even put a fire nozzel on it to water a small section of the plot. I would say that it put out as much water as a booster line on a brush unit (note: booster line (redline) is 1" on a brush unit... I was using 1.5" today).
