It's been a strange season so far.
Normally in years past it's always been the week before thanksgiving and the bucks were out chasing and deer everywhere.
Not so this year, and only last week there was one day where I actually saw bucks chasing, and then after that the deer seemed to go underground and the weather was hot.
Don't know if it's the weather or what but I did see deer this morning and couple good bucks but nothing chasing, and there was a frost on the grass and it was cold, so I don't know what's going on either.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Yesterday evening and this morning the Bucks were hot and heavy. I saw 12 bucks yesterday evening and 3 were on doe, and this morning we took one big 8pt that was chasing a doe and saw several other bucks with doe when we headed in from the pasture.

Where I am at in Bandera County the bucks are going nuts chasing does. I saw one yesterday while I was working on some fence that came by me about 50' and never paid any attention to me. He had his nose on the ground and I was the least of his worries.
