Does anyone know of a hunters education 1 day field course that is happening this weekend? 11/26 or 11/27... please help!!

not sure what your situation is, but you can go buy a temporary pass from wal mart thats good for one year. After that you will have to have the actual card

Be aware that is not a pass that acts as a education card. You must still hunt within speaking distance of a hunter that HAS taken and passed the hunters education course.

thanks for the help fellas, i got the temporary pass last year and was not aware that it was "temporary" got a ticket last weekend and judge will drop it if i get the course done by 11/29.

i did the online part now just need the 1 day, found a place in grand prarie that has a class on 12/11 so i am going to ask the fair and honorable judge if i can get a little extension

The honorable judge will probably look at the schedule and wonder why you need an extension.

Looks to be one on Nov 23 & 24 & 28 in Flower Mound and one on Nov 27 in Arlington.

I'd givem all a call.

Not to highjack thread but does everyone need to take hunters ed or is this for younger folk? I took this course way back when and don't know how to get ahold of card if I do need it.

the judge has to give you 90 days to take the course, state law says so.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Code
Sec 62.014 (l) If a person requests a hunter safety training course as provided by Subsection (d) of this section, the court shall defer proceedings and allow the person 90 days to present written evidence that, after being charged with failure to possess the certificate, the person has successfully completed a hunter safety training course approved by the department. If a person successfully completes the course and the evidence presented is accepted by the court, the court shall dismiss the charge.
