I hear alot of people sing the praises of Kubys but I found them to be pretty average when I took my deer there. Thier sausages were higher priced than other places I have been in the past but thier basic processing fee was quite a bit lower so it all kinda works out in the end I guess.
Never been to the place in Plano.

Syracus in Keller is awesome. I did not like kuby's at all. The sausage was dry and did not have great flavor. I drive an hour just to drop off my meat at Syracuse.

Tom,
I've always liked Kubys. Its a little pricey, but the meat is always good (or at least, mine has been).
That said, my wife and I processed a couple does in the kitchen ourselves a while back. I miss the japaleno/cheese salami, but otherwise, grinding at home aint too bad.

understood. I used Ye Old shop in the early 90's when I lived over in Allen, but dont recall anything good or bad about it. Kubys is closer to me, and I've always been happy with the results.
Did Chad get to drop the hammer on the future breakfast?

Davids Meats on Jupiter. Hands down the best place. Used Ye Ole in Plano once last year after a Feb MLD doe hunt. They were good, but Davids was much better.
