I am 2 miles north of Evant. Lot of small bucks chasing last week. Should be really getting going now. I believe the moon phase has a ton to do with rut activity. The full moon that happened in October was a little too early this year because of last year most does in this area were bred around the the 10th of November. This year is a wierd year because the full moon is so late in November. I would put the farm on this weekend and next to have the bucks running hard.

We're up in Mills county, east of Goldthwaite. Young bucks were running some does, but more of the bucks still running together, hitting the feeders (2 weeks ago). I figure with the full moon, the next couple of weeks should be interesting.

Bucks are starting to run does in Williamson County. I agree with ddmm, the next couple of week ought to be interesting.

All I saw were young bucks running does. Did see a couple of nice 8's traveling together. I think this front coming on wednesday will help to motivate the biguns to come out. Let's hope anyways.
