Well all the sitting and prep paid off. This is the first mature buck I've taken off our new place in 3 yrs. He lacks mass and height, a problem with most of the bucks I've seen. Next spring will be summer plot phase implementation. The added nutrients during the summer should help these guys out in a few years. I passed on this buck last Nov at 70 yrds with a rifle. This year at 17 yrds I couldn't let him walk. He'll make a nice addition in the livingroom. He weighed 150 lbs on the hoof and I figure him to be 3.5-4 yrs old. Any feedback is welcomed.

Great Buck. I love the spread. Did his brow tine break or just never develop?

His brow tine & tip of G2 broken also He measured 20.5 inches inside spread.
I rattled in 4 separate bucks early this week. Haven't been in woods in couple of days. Hitting again tonight and most of weekend. Lots of displaced deer I think. Ole lady ruined my day when she said told me the monster I've been looking for the past 2 yrs was chilling near our drive in yesterday @ noon. I know the rut is in full swing if he is out during day light!

I saw almost no movement at all this morning. Saw some chasing opening weekend, but nothing since. Not really sure what the deal is.
Nice buck, by the way.

Smile, you just shot a nice deer. Only feedback I have for you, sounds like you are heading in the right direction.
