Sorry I can't help you. They look really nice but you are paying a big premium for something that might not last any longer than the next pair of waders.
I'm down with Cabela's and just got another pair of the breathable ones. Many friends have taken their Cabela's waders that started leaking for brand new ones. I like that policy..they stand behind their stuff. So I guess one big question I would ask is what's their warranty like. I've never had a pair of waders that lasted longer than 3 years.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

........Drake is absolutely power raping the consumer with the price of these waders.

My buddy and I both got a pair of the MST this year. The shoulder straps were WAY too long on both pairs. I am 6'1 and he is 6'3 and we had to use electrical tape to shorten them. There are no insoles so a quick trip to walmart and some insoles made them much more comfortable. First time in the water, his pair had a leak... After the adjustments I like mine, very comfortable and fit well besides the long shoulder straps....
Hope this helps.
BTW they were a gift or I would have been totally pissed if I had spent $400 on them.

i wouldn't recommend them. The area on each sides that should come up to your arm pit just barely goes over your hip. So it's like having glorified hip waders. If they were taller on the sides I would say they might be the best out there. But not for the price.
They're not looking for one thing right....they're looking for one thing wrong.

I would save my money by the cabela's brand and spend the extra money on some good base layer stuff

LaCrosse and Cabela's brand are tried and true.
I don't have one Drake item. I don't give money to the new kid on the block.
If you want to pay a premium so you feel like you've got the best gear, buy some Filson or McAlister gear.

Stay away. I was hunting with a guy on Sunday who had them and one of the shoulder straps ripped off at the back of the waders. It was his second time to wear them.

should i get breathables, then spend the money saved on layering? what do yall layer with? i usually just wear thick socks with long johns and wranglers under my insulated

As far as layering... your socks/long johns/wranglers are your issues. You must NOT wear cotton under your waders, get merino wool socks, fleece pants, and a capilene/polyester style base layer next to your skin instead of your tighty whiteys. You can get all that stuff from Cabela's. Merino wool socks should cost you between 10-20 per pair. The fleece pants, you can use any... Walmart sweat pants whatever, but fleece, not cotton. Don't buy fleece pants from a duck hunting supply place, no need to overpay to have camo fleece under your waders.
